WELCOME TO ABOUT US
You've probably heard a lot about BikeAway - but you may well be wondering who is behind it. We hope this page will answer most of your questions.
THE INVENTOR BikeAway was the brainchild of Jason Hamlyn, an engineer, who has lived and worked in Plymouth for most of his life apart from the odd spell in Canada. Jason (pictured right) was an employee of Westwood Automation Limited, in Plymouth when he conceived the idea of BikeAway. With help and input from Plymouth City Council and Mike Turner from Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited, Jason was able to develop BikeAway into the product you see today. The factory now builds them to order for him.
Westwood Automation Limited Westwood Automation Limited produces mainframe computer cabinets on state-of-the-art machinery and exports it all over the world. Having recently taken delivery of a state of the art piece of machinery, BikeAway is precision made and can be produced quickly to meet increasing demand.
The Fitters We use teams of two professional fitters, all of whom are hand chosen and personally trained by Jason to meet his exacting standards. Jason endeavors to be personally involved in as many of our fittings as possible.
